Welcome to the home page of Route 66 Basenji Club. We are a growing group of Basenji owners, in and around the St. Louis area, with a wide variety of interests. 


Route 66 Basenji Club Mission Statement & Purpose:        The Route 66 Basenji Club is devoted to promoting and protecting the welfare and best interests of the Basenji breed and its owners. The club supports and encourages educating the public and providing information about Basenjis, their characteristics, and the elements needed for successful Basenji ownership. Club members seek to advance the interests of the breed through responsible breeding and rescue and by participating in obedience, agility, racing, conformation and other activities that afford friendship with fellow Basenji lovers and opportunities to help and befriend novice owners.

 Route 66 was established in May 2005 for Basenjis enthusiasts in and around the St. Louis area.
