
By-Laws
ARTICLE I - MEMBERSHIP
Membership shall be open to all persons who agree to and uphold our Mission Statement and Code of Ethics.
Members will be given access to the club’s Yahoo Group.
Membership is not limited by geographical location.
SECTION 1. TYPES OF MEMBERSHIPS.
Single membership shall be defined as membership held by one adult member.
Family membership shall be defined as membership held by a minimum of two persons residing at the same address.
SECTION 2. DUES
A single membership is $15 and a family membership is $20.
Anyone applying for membership, must pay membership dues and submit a membership application.
Current members who wish to renew their membership will need to send the appropriate dues to the treasurer along with a membership application every July*. Dues are to be received by the treasurer no later then Aug 15th.
*Members who joined after January 1st of the same year do not need to renew until the following year.
SECTION 3. MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
When applying for membership each applicant must submit a properly filled out and signed application, along with the appropriate membership dues.
SECTION 4. TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
Membership will be considered lapsed if such member's dues remain unpaid on August 15th of each year.
Membership may be revoked at any time if the member is not upholding the club’s Code of Ethics.
ARTICLE II - MEETINGS
Meetings will be held bi-monthly on the first Thursday of the odd months. (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, & Nov.)
ARTICLE Ill - SLATE OF OFFICERS
SECTION 1. BOARD OF DIRECTORS
President - Duties are but not limited to: Run meetings, Schedule the meetings and find locations for them, Other duties as required.
Vice President - Duties are but not limited to: Run meetings if President it unavailable, Assist the president
Treasurer - Duties are but not limited to: Write checks, Deposit checks, Balance check book, Advise the club of our finances
Recording Secretary - Duties are but not limited to: Take the minutes at the meetings, Type and publish the minutes, Type out agenda for meeting, Maintain records containing all rule changes
Corresponding Secretary - Duties are but not limited to: Send cards and flowers on the clubs behalf, Write Thank You notes, Compose other correspondence when needed
SECTION 2. OTHER OFFICERS
T-Shirt Chair - Coordinating the club's t-shit sales.
Sergeant at Arms - Enforcing Policies and procedures as needed.
ARTICLE IV - THE CLUB YEAR, VOTING, NOMINATIONS, ELECTIONS
SECTION 1. CLUB YEAR.
The club’s fiscal year shall begin July 1st.
SECTION 2. VOTING
Voting for the new officers will be held at the July meeting, with the elected officers taking over when the meeting is adjourned.
SECTION 3. BI - ANNUAL ELECTION
Officers will hold office for two years with elections being held at the July meeting of every odd year.
SECTION 4. NOMINATIONS AND BALLOTS
In an election year, a Nominations chair will be appointed at the May meeting.
The Nomination Chair will collect and organize nominations from the club’s members into a slate of candidates and present the ballot to the club before the July election.
