Route 66 Basenji Club Blood Draw
February 2007 the Route 66 Basenji club held a blood draw for the Canine Phenome Project at
Dr. Stan Carter's new clinic, in Lake St. Louis..
We had a good turn out, even with all the rain! There were 28 brave Basenjis at Dr. Carter's that day.

Kim & Jan kept everything organized and running smoothly.
With 28 Basenjis there was never a dull moment!!
We had Basenjis that Snarked.....

one that Snacked,,,
Just one with PINK painted nails but all with curly tails...

Some snuggled and others sniffed

Two that shared a kiss and a puppy called Kiss

But it was not all fun and games, the whole point of the day was to collect blood samples to send off to Columbia to help find a genetic marker for Fanconi.

A BIG Thank You to Dr. Carter for hosting the blood draw and for all his hard work that day. We would also like to thank Jon Curby for coming down from Columbia to help us out and for transporting the samples.
